An eccentric millionaire is throwing a party…inside a haunted house!  Riches await his guests if they can survive the night. Adapted for the stage from the Vincent Price film, Tommy Jamerson’s take on this creepy classic is filled with Halloween thrills and chills.  Directed by the Columbia Theatre’s artistic director, Jim Winter.  Adapted from the Original.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show   (Audience Interaction Movie) October29 and 30, 9:00 pm

Back by popular demand!  Hosted by master of ceremonies Dr. Joe Burns, our two screenings of this cult classic feature a shadow cast, costume contest and…more more more.  VIP tickets include a throw bag filled with all the interactive props you need and a surprise from our shadow cast!

The Last Waltz, Hammond    November 5, 7:30 pm

An array of local musicians come together on the Columbia stage to perform the set list from the famous farewell concert by The Band.  Featuring Byron Daniel, Will Vance, Soul Revival, Katie Kenny, Bayou Honey and many more! This event is a fundraiser for Serenity Treatment Centers, Southeastern Students in Recovery and True Rescue.  VIP ticket includes a re-usable, spill-proof Columbia Theatre tumbler.  

The Columbia Theatre’s Holiday Extravaganza   December 3, 6:00 pm

Put on your most festive pajamas and join us for a holiday celebration!  Explore our decorated lobby, meet Santa Claus, take selfies, listen to live holiday music, and enjoy a special screening of The Polar Express. Free popcorn, hot cocoa and holiday “swag bag” included with your purchase while supplies last.   *The film begins at 7 pm.

Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show (Live Show)  March 11, 12,18 & 19, 7:30 pm

Come up to the lab and see what’s onthe slab as the Columbia Theatre and Southeastern Theatre combine forces to bring you the live musical sensation that inspired the legendary cult film. Directed by Shane Stewart.  Book, Music and Lyrics by Richard O’Brien.  Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

The 21st Annual Bill Evans Jazz Festival   April 6-9, 7:30 pm

The Columbia Theatre is proud to host the four prime time concert events for this world-class celebration of America’s original art form. Concerts feature current Southeastern students, alumni, faculty, and guest artist Lisanne Lyons.

Star Wars:  A New Hope    May 4th   7:30 pm

May the Fourth be with you! Come celebrate this most Star Wars of days with the movie that started it all!  Film historian Dr. Jason Landrum will introduce the film and share some fun facts about the making of this cinema classic.  Free popcorn and Star Wars “swag bag” included with your purchase while supplies last.  Be sure to come a little early because we’ll be decorating the lobby and there will be lots of fun photo-op spots!
